The sweet bread craze is heating up and there’s no shortage of recipes to help you get started.
This recipe is a quick and easy way to get a little kick in your recipe making.
It’s low carb, gluten-free and gluten-friendly.
The sweet crust is baked in the oven and then topped with the sweet cream cheese and whipped topping.
A nice bonus: you don’t have to worry about the bread getting stale if you refrigerate it and reheat it at the end of the week.
To make the crust: Preheat oven to 350°F.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Combine butter, sugar, baking powder, salt and pepper in a large bowl.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, baking soda, and baking powder.
In the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, beat the egg yolks with the sugar until pale and creamy.
Add the milk and vanilla, and mix on medium speed until combined.
Pour the dough mixture into the prepared baking sheet.
Bake for 45 minutes, or until golden brown.
Turn off oven and let cool for 10 minutes before slicing.
Store in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
Sweet bread can also be made ahead of time, but you may have to chill it for a week or two before serving.
